disappointing
I bought it very early - I placed the order in August! - and sadly, by the time I tried the teas in December - and keeping in mind it is an advent calendar! it has to be December, most of the flavours had wandered off. I kept it in a dry place, away from light, It was only when I was told 'Brighton rock' was supposed to be minty did I realise all of that flavour had gone.. The teas were drinkable.. but not the flavours they were supposed to be, which was the entire reason I got the calendar - to try out the flavours.
I had bought the halloween calendar at the same time and that one was fine - perhaps because it didnt have to sit around for as long. I did put in a complaint, but was told to brew the tea for longer - anyone who knows tea knows thet you get more tannins from black tea if you brew it longer.. it will alter the flavour so wasn't the best advice. In fairness, I was, eventually, offered a replacement, but the moment was lost by then and I declined. It is quite expensive, I think the tea bags need to be in sealed bags, this could still be done with eco packaging as per the freebie tea bags sent out with orders.
