    Smoky and irresistable

"So I wasn't a tea guy. My partner adores B&B and has been shopping with you for years. On a whim, I added Smoky Russian to the cart and I adore it. Never tried a smoky tea before, and this has acted as a gateway tea, I'm now a firm customer and have tried so many more, all because of this tea. Perfect pick-me-up, and I'm now definitely a tea guy."

Amazing tea.... Try adding to other blends!

"The Smoky Russian tea is a fantastic brew, I use it to add a nice smoky flavour to other teas. My go to at the moment is the Newcastle Upon Tyne Tea, with a little Smoky Russian Tea or, alternatively, I enjoy the Lincoln Imp Tea with a little Smoky Russian. Just amazing tea and feels really special."

    Like an autumn morning

"This tea was a bit of a taste test! But it’s now definitely a favourite of mine!! It tastes like an autumn morning! When you open your window between 3&5 in the morning! Like the smell of bonfire night the day after!!! Smoky and full of fond memories!"

    — Tracey S. (5/5)

    Phenols

"It is a great taste full and through as a lot say, however a word of warning for slavic folks i grew up with smoked fish and preserved fish, i found out that the phenols between lapsang tea and fish are very close so you do smell like a heavy fermented fish but the taste is realy good"

    — kacper i. (4/5)

    Perfect smoky tea

"I love to drink lapsang souchong at this time of year (Autumn) and this Russian caravan version is perfect - fairly light but with that lovely dark smokiness."

    I've been burnt!

"I've never had anything like this before. my brother actually chose this and I've now tried it. this was so nice and crisp in it's flavour and makes for a very strong lunchtime or evening tea especially on days out. I wonder what this would be like cold brewed though?"

    — Will (5/5)

    Intensely flavoured

"Very intensely smoky tea that works well with and without milk"

    — Alex M. (4/5)

    My husband's favourite!

    Q&A

Can I order Russian Caravan in a tin, and what sizes are available?
Hi there! We have a blend called 'Smoky Russian', which you can order in pouches - we have 20g, 50g, 150g and 300g quantities. We sell caddies separately, if you would like to use one for storage! Anna @ B&B https://www.birdandblendtea.com/products/150g-tea-tin
Does the 150g Tin version come with a label sticker on it? Or do i have to ask for it?
Hello, Thank you for getting in touch! Yes, the 150g tin versions of our blends will come with a label on the tin! If you are buying a tin separately, you can request labels in the order notes :) Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns! Lizzie @ B&B
Hi I ordered a few different types of teas and this has been my least favourite so far. Too smokey for me. Do you have any tips of what I can add to it to make it taste less smokey at all? I tried honey but I don't like sweet teas so that didn't work. Thanks
Hi Nichola, Hope you are well! This is traditional Russian Caravan so it very smokey! You could mix it with should plain black tea to make your own blend! I hope that helps. Happy Sipping! Vic @ B&B
How do you make it taste smoky? Is it the way it's treated or is it just a natural flavor of one of the teas?
Hi there!! Our Smoky Russian is a Russian Caravan blend which consists of oolong tea, Lapsang Souchong tea, Mao Feng Keemun tea. Traditionally Russian caravan tea absorbed camp fire smoke on route back from China, but in more modern times, it's the Lapsang that is pinewood smoked and the process is just like any other food. Really hope that helps! Vic @ BB
It used to come in a 300g bag. Do you still sell it that way and what would the price be in $US?
Hi there! We are currently low on stock of Smoky Russian so it currently isn't available in the 300g Fan Stash option, but should be back with us in around a month :) The price for that would be $44. Please let me know if I can help with anything else, Eve @ BB
