    Bird & Blend Tea Co. has officially arrived in the seaside town of Rye! Our local store blend is an aquatic white tea blended with mallow blossoms & pink cornflower petals, evoking the invigorating euphoria of a dip in the sea.

    As one of our store blends 50% of all profits from sales of this blend will go to our Rye store's chosen chariTEA Sussex Wildlife Trust.

    How to make a hot tea

      Step 1

      1 tsp

    • tea brewing temperature

      Step 2

      Boil water to 100°

    • tea brewing time

      Step 3

      Wait 4 mins

    • hot cup of tea

      Step 4

      Without milk

    How to cold brew tea

    • loose leaf tea in cold brew tea bottle

      Step 1

      Scoop 5-6 tsp into a bottle

    • Add cold water

      Step 2

      Add 750ml cold water

    • refrigerate for 4-6 hours

      Step 3

      Leave 4-6 hrs or overnight

    • Enjoy over ice.

      Step 4

      Pour over ice & enjoy!

    My Go To Everyday Brew

    In the last couple of years I have started outdoor swimming and then discovered some brilliant saunas by the sea. The name of this tea drew me in and I find it so evocative and it really does transport me to that happy place of being in water and in nature. For me it's like a wee dopamine hit in a cup.

    Fun, Light and Gently Floral

    An interesting one! Very distinct green melon aroma both with the dry leaves and in the fresh brew, but the actual taste is very mild (even for a white tea), gentle and floral-sweet, with the base white tea flavour not being overwhelmed by the mallow—it definitely nails the English sea breeze inspiration.

    It's not going to be a all-year-round go-to for me, but I'm definitely enjoying it and it fills a very nice gap in B&B's shelf of stronger and heavier teas, and it's nice to see more white teas in the roster!
