What is the ChariTEA of the Quarter all about?
When we set up Bird & Blend back in 2012, we knew we wanted to create a company that gave back to the world & the communities that we worked within. We are passionate about supporting causes that are close to our hearts, helping the people & environment around us, so our ChariTEA (did you see what we did there?) of the Quarter was born. Supporting causes we love through tea seemed like the pretty perfect move for us!
Every three months, we choose a different charity to work with & support them through the profits of their chosen blend, along with campaigns that our fans & customers get involved in, too.
During this time, all of the profits that we make from the online sales of our ChariTEA blend go straight to that charity or cause. This Quarter, our ChariTEA Rainbow Migration has chosen Fruits of the Forage.
Who are Rainbow Migration & how do they help?
Nearly 70 countries criminalise same-sex relations, some with the death penalty. Rainbow Migration assists LGBTQI+ people fleeing persecution & supports them through the UK asylum & immigration system.
In response to the many complex challenges LGBTQ+ people seeking asylum face, they provide practical & emotional support for LGBTQI+ people seeking asylum to help access healthcare & housing. They facilitate regular support groups & wellbeing activities so that LGBTQI+ people seeking asylum can feel less isolated & build community.
Rainbow Migration provides free & confidential specialist legal information for LGBTQI+ people seeking asylum in the UK. They also provide legal advice & information to LGBTQI+ people who want to live in the UK with their partners. Rainbow Migration campaigns for an asylum & immigration system which treats LGBTQI+ people fairly & with dignity.

How Bird & Blend is supporting Rainbow Migration
