How to make the perfect cup of matcha in 4 delicious ways - a matcha made in heaven!
Make your matcha shot!
First make your matcha shot, this will be the base of all your matcha drinks!
- Add 1 Perfect Matcha Spoon (half a teaspoon) of your chosen matcha into a bowl or cup.
- Add a splash of warm water (80℃).
- Use your Bamboo Matcha Whisk to whisk your matcha in a 'W' shape until frothy.
- Alternatively, if you are making lattes you can use our Matcha Latte Magic Whisk
From here you can turn it into a:
- Hot Matcha: Top up with hot water
- Matcha Latte: Top up with frothy hot milk
- Iced Matcha Latte: Pour over ice & top with milk
- Iced Matcha Lemonade: Pour over ice & top with soda or lemonade

Hot Matcha
- Pour your shot of matcha into a cup
- Top with boiling water
- You can also add a syrup of choice if you like it sweeter. (Our faves are vanilla syrup or agave!)
Matcha Latte
Method 1:
- Pour your shot of matcha into a cup
- When smooth, add water until half-full. Stir in a few drops of Sweetbird Vanilla Syrup and honey, if using.
- Next, gently heat and froth the milk in a saucepan on the hob (if you are using a Handheld Milk & Matcha Frother, you can add the milk directly to the tea and then froth for a creamier taste).
- Add the milk to the tea, stirring as you go and ensuring you get a nice big dollop of frothy milk on top.
Method 2:
- First add 250ml of your chosen milk to your Matcha Latte Magic Whisk and press the power button.
- Sprinkle 1 Perfect Matcha Teaspoon or ½ tsp of matcha over your milk as it spins in your magic whisk. By gently sprinkling the matcha over the milk as it spins you can achieve the best results & avoids any clumping.
- After you have sprinkled in your matcha you can then add 1 teaspoon of your vanilla syrup.
- Place the lid on top of your machine and watch the magic happen.
Pour into your favourite mug & enjoy!

Iced Matcha
Method 1:
- Pour your shot of matcha into a large glass with ice
- If required, add a sweetener of your choice (our faves are vanilla syrup or agave!)
- Top with a milk of choice (we love oat, coconut, or almond!)
Method 2:
- First add 125ml of your chosen milk to your Matcha Latte Magic Whisk and press the power button.
- Sprinkle 1 Perfect Matcha Teaspoon or ½ tsp of banana matcha over your milk as it spins in your magic whisk. By gently sprinkling the matcha over the milk as it spins you can achieve the best results & avoids any clumping.
- After you have sprinkled in your matcha you can then add 1 teaspoon of your vanilla syrup (optional), then place the lid on top.
- Once your matcha in your magic whisk is ready pour on top of the ice & top up with 125ml of cold milk.
- All that is left is to enjoy!

- Pour your shot of matcha into a large glass with ice
- Squeeze in a fresh lemon
- Add a shot of honey or agave to sweeten
- Top with fizzy water or lemonade
