What is cold brew tea?
Iced coffee is so yesterday!
Get ready for Cold Brewing Tea! This is a great, fun way to create your own bespoke cold drinks by infusing our delicious tea blends and the best bit, it’s so easy to do! Cold Brew is created using tea leaves and/or herbal infusions steeped using cold water rather than hot. You can also cold brew our tea blends with any kind of milk, soda water, fizzy water, lemonade or alcohol!
Cold brewing originated in the southern states of America, where they would traditionally leave tea leaves in water out in a bottle in the sun to warm and slowly infuse. Interestingly cold teas tend to taste a little sweeter and less astringent than those brewed with hot water.
COLD BREW TEA BENEFITS
Too hot for a cuppa? With cold brewing you can have your tea & drink it too. Our cold brew teas are so tasty and super low in sugar. A great way to have a refreshing drink while staying hydrated!
This summery drink is better for the environment than your regular hot cuppa because the majority of energy used is in boiling too much water in the kettle. Plus the cold brew glass bottle is reusable, unlike ice teas which come in single-use plastic bottles. Double win!
SHELL YEAH!

The best teas to cold brew with
For the perfect summer brew we recommend fruit tea, but green tea and light or floral black teas are great to use! Some of our favourite refreshing Cold Brew Tea flavours are Eton Mess, Blueberry & Peach, and MojiTEA and we’d recommend you give these a go first. However, once you’ve dipped your toe into cold brewing there is an unlimited number of tea blends, liquid and herbs that you can mix & match!

Hello Cat,
We have never tried it in Bird & Blend but would be interested to hear your feedback if you have tried this out. I am sure lots of our Teabirds would appreciate this.

Hello Janis,
Great question! What is great about fruit teas is that they are suitable for both hot and cold teas so you have the best of both worlds.
Happy Brewing!
Are any of your fruit teas suitable for hot drinks? Thank you.
