The wait is over. Our signature Cream Egg Tea is back! Silky, creamy & irresistibly chocolatey, it’s Easter in a cup. To make the long weekend extra special, we've hatched three spectacular ways to transform our go-to Easter tea into blissful springtime sensations. Why let the kids have all the fun?
1. Iced Cream Egg Tea with 'Yolk' Cubes
This recipe takes your iced tea game to the next level with show-stopping, egg-shaped ice cubes that mimic the look of a cracked cream egg. It's cool, creamy, and visually delightful!
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
- 2 Perfect Tea Spoons of Cream Egg Tea
- 200ml 100°C water
- Sweetener to taste (e.g., honey or vanillia syrup)
- Milk of your choice (we recommend oat for extra richness)
- Egg-shaped silicone ice cube tray (or regular shaped will also do fine!)
- A drop of yellow food dye or a few marigold/calendula petals
WHAT TO DO:
- To prepare the 'yolk' cubes, fill your ice tray with water, then add a few small marigold or calendula petals to the water before freezing. Or, you can add a tiny drop of yellow food colouring to the water and mix gently, then freeze. It’s probably a good plan to do this the night before!
- Time to make your drink!
- Brew the tea concentrate. To do this, pop 2 Perfect Tea Spoons of Cream Egg Tea into your infuser, we love using our Brewdini, then add 200ml of boiling water and steep for 4 minutes.
- Once brewed, strain your tea concentrate.
- Stir in your preferred sweetener until dissolved. We love using a spoonful of honey.
- Grab your ice ‘yolk’ from the freezer
- Fill a tall glass with your 'yolk'. Pour the Cream Egg Tea concentrate over the ice.
- Top with your milk of choice, and maybe a chocolatey garnish if you are feeling extravagant.
- Enjoy!
2. Cold Brew Cream Egg Martini (Mocktail)
Elevate your dinner drinks with a sophisticated twist. This cold brew is served in a cocktail glass, garnished with a chocolate egg-inspired treat!
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
- 4-6 Perfect Tea Spoons of Cream Egg Tea
- 500ml oat milk
-
Cold Brew Tea Bottle
-
Vanilla syrup
- Martini or coupe glass
- Cocktail stick and small chocolate egg (for garnish)
WHAT TO DO:
- Add 4-6 Perfect Tea Spoons of Cream Egg Tea to your Cold Brew Bottle, then top up with 500ml of oat milk. Pop this in the fridge to infuse for a minimum of 4 hours, but we love to leave it overnight - this slow process extracts maximum flavour with minimal bitterness.
- Sweeten the cold brew with vanilla syrup or your chosen sweetener once brewed.
- Fill your martini or coupe glass with a few ice cubes. Pour the cold brew over the ice.
- Pop a chocolate egg on a martini stick, then lay it across the rim of the glass.
- Enjoy!
3. Hot Cream Egg Mega Latte
For those who want maximum comfort and indulgence, the Hot Cream Egg Mega Latte is a decadent, velvety hug in a mug. It's richer, creamier, and more chocolatey than your wildest dreams, which is why we love to brew it up every Easter.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
- 2 Perfect Tea Spoons of Cream Egg Tea
- 150ml 100°C water
- 200ml milk of your choice (we find oat milk works best!)
- Vanilla syrup
- Whipped cream
- Chocolate shavings
- Chocolate sauce
WHAT TO DO:
- Place 2 Perfect Tea Spoons of Cream Egg Tea in a small amount of boiling water (approx. 150ml) and steep for 4 minutes. This creates your tea concentrate, which is used to make the latte.
- Strain the concentrate into your favourite mug, then add a pump of vanilla syrup (go on, it's Easter!)
- Top up with your milk. You can heat then froth this for extra decadence, too.
- Top generously with whipped cream, chocolate shavings, & your chocolate sauce.
- Enjoy!
